Age of Conan Retail Package to Contain Rise of The Godslayer
Apr 16th

Funcom has announced that a retail release containing both Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures and the expansion Rise of the Godslayer is to be published by Deep Silver.
Rise of the Godslayer, the first expansion to Conan, introduces the player to the lands of Khitai with several new world regions filled with dungeons, quests, and rewards.
It also introduces new gameplay features, such as an alternate advancement system, factions, and the new tiger and wolf mounts/combat pets that you raise from cubs.
You can only either ride the critters or use them in battle – not both. You choose the training method when you get them, after killing their mother.
The core game also includes all the updates made to the title since launch, as well as the puma, an exclusive in-game pet that will not be available for purchase online.
Players will also get access to a starter’s package containing several in-game items that will help them along in their dangerous, sexy adventures through Hyboria.
There’s no date just yet, as Rise of the Godslayer hasn’t been given one.
New retail version of Age of Conan to include upcoming expansion pack
Apr 16th

In 2008, Funcom used Eidos as its distributor for the retail version of Age of Conan. Now with the upcoming release of their expansion pack, Rise of the Godslayer, Funcom will release a new retail version of their fantasy MMO that combines both the original game and the expansion pack.
The new retail release will be distributed this time by CompuExpert in North America and will include some exclusive in-game items that will assist new players in their adventures. CompuExpert had previously distributed the WWII flight sim Wings of Prey to stores in the US. While Rise of the Godslayer is expected to be released sometime this year there’s no specific date that has been announced.
Lukey’s Rantings: It started with Counter Strike…

Kinda brought me back to the old times, when i was young, who was eager to fit into my circle of friends and computer gaming was part of the “must-know” in order to be cool and accepted. I still remember that i was an eleven year old kid that time, thinking that i was going to only go my friend’s house to celebrate his birthday. Ended up in a cyber cafe (or lan shop, as how Singaporeans call it) playing my first ever computer game, Counter Strike.
