So labeling this an exploit may be a bit harsh. It’s not a “cheat” or against the Starcraft 2 TOS. It is incredibly annoying, however, so feel free to use it if you don’t mind upsetting your opponent and getting called names.

Regardless of whether you spawn in North position or South position on Desert Oasis, there is a ledge separated by a small abyss from your opponent’s vespene gas. You can put a siege tank there and use a flying unit or scan for vision of the vespene gas, and destroy your opponent’s refinery/assimilator/extrator. Just knowing that you can use a siege tank here is not enough. You must position the rest of your forces properly and be mindful of your timing according to the race you’re playing against.
