WoW News Snippet: Re: Blizzard Store » RPG-Exploiters
Apr 16th

More and more, it seems like Blizzard is making WoW into a micro transaction store. I just read that they now added a Celestial mount, and some weird robot critter companion.
I want to mention that when I looked at the source code of the page, that the celestial mount, shows a limited run of 100, whereas 12 have been sold and only 88 of them are left for sale. This will make this an extremely rare mount for WoW US players. I find more interesting that there is a limit to 10 purchases at a time. Makes me wonder if an enterprising individual will go out there and snatch some up, for sale use later.
You can check out the flying mount over at the Blizzard Store.

It is time our voice is hear stand beside of your fellow brothers
I want to say this is not a jab at evony. This is how ever a way for us to see our bug mail in action so to speak. We need a opportunity to put our voices out as one, they have there voting poles but now we have our own. There are many options Evony has to fix our issue on NA1. It is not fair to us because we spend money, we are patient and we are getting no results. Dont forget guys we are the ones who for the most part tested beta and told them it was not ready to come out. Now we are stuck on a server that has horrible lag and we are forced to just stand by and take it. Well no longer, I encourage you all to sign this petition and it will go to the customer service department. We have to let them know we wont take it lying down, and that we feel we deserve more attention than this. We deserve proper treatment as paying customers and as devoted fans of Evony. It is unbearable and needs to be handled immediately.

Evony Age 2 April 13 Update!

Evony AGE 2 MMORPG Cheats Update
We are working to address all issues that players are having in both Age I and Age II, however we can only work on so many issues at one time before moving on. Here are the latest updates:
April 13
Age I
Players who experience a login authentication error (an error on our server) will now receive the error message “Authentication error. Please retry later.” Previously, players received the error message “Incorrect email or password” which was not accurate. We apologize for the confusion.
We have also corrected the cause of many of these errors. Players should now have an easier time logging in to play the game.

Why does money spent in the multiplayer gameget sent to a Hong Kong company connected with one in the Marshall Islands – where you find banking secrecy and zero taxation?
We return to the issue of Evony, the online multiplayer game. You’ll recall our story – Has Evony become the most despised company on the web? – which looked at how the game (free to join, potentially expensive to play) had annoyed a number of people because people had spammed links to it on blogs, the advertising seemed misleading (there are no large heaving boobs in the game) and when it was still called Civony (in May 2009), some of the images in the advertising were actually taken from other sources without acknowledgement.
Bruce Everiss, a 30-year veteran of the UK games industry, has posted a series of blogposts on his bruceongames.com site since last summer in which he has claimed that Evony, the game, previously had links to a Chinese company, UMGE, and that that was linked to a Chinese “gold farming” business – which gets low-paid workers to earn virtual money in online games such as World of Warcraft, and then sells it (against WoW’s rules) to other players. (Puzzled about gold farming? We went inside a company that does it.)

Shopping Cart Disco busted Evony’s latest faux pas, showcasing their complete disregard for copyright in using Harper Beresford’s snapshot in their advertising campaign. But just who are Evony, and why do they carry such a bad rep?
In 2009, Evony launched an online advertising campaign which was particularly noticable for its use of racy images of women. As the campaign went on, the images would become more suggestive, and would make references to having to save the queen or lover. Except the Evony game itself has no queen or lover to be saved.. smart move, that.
